Stationary Engineer Role And Responsibilities

As a Stationary Engineer, your role is maintaining and repairing facilities equipment and services and implementing technical solutions to support the smooth running of the facility. This is an International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), Stationary Engineers, Local 39, position.

Your primary responsibilities may include:

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, such as project managers and stakeholders, to understand project requirements and support and deliver solutions efficiently.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in engineering.
• Provide technical guidance in designing robust and scalable solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, offer technical feedback, and ensure adherence to safety regulations, codes, standards, and best practices.

• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in the engineering department.
• Implement and enforce engineering best practices, quality standards, and methodologies.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by seeking feedback, measuring results, and implementing appropriate changes.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and align engineering initiatives accordingly.
• Communicate project updates, technical challenges, and solutions to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
