Position SummaryAdvanced Energy is looking for a Sr Test Engineer to join our team in Milpitas, CA.
Responsibilities- Develop test automation software and scripts for High Power DC Supplies using LabVIEW and NI Test Stand.
- Prepare verification procedures for ATE and test automation software and carry out the verification tests.
- Document and release procedures, test plans, block and schematic diagrams.
Works in a standard office environment utilizing standard office equipment, engineering lab and manufacturing facility.
Qualifications- Experience using LabVIEW and Test Stand for test automation.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve automation hardware and software.
- Capacity to complete assignments independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Self‑starter with strong time‑management and prioritization under schedule pressure.
- Adaptable, receptive to change and able to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Collaboration with development and cross‑functional teams to ensure effective and timely software system integration and verification.
- Team collaboration to achieve overall team goals.
- Experience with general‑purpose test equipment and automation: oscilloscopes, multimeters, DAQs and switches.
- 5+ years’ experience in automation and software development for test automation; 3 years with a master’s degree.
- Experience with C#, Matlab and Python.
- Experience with Solid Works.
- Experience with schematic capture.
- Experience with SQL Server and MySQL for data capture.
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering or equivalent.
CompensationAs required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. The range of starting pay for this role is $130,000 – $170,000 per year.
