PDF is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work on PDF’s ebeam inspection tool for Design-For-Inspection used for enhancing yield in state-of-art 300mm semiconductor fabs. We are searching for a Mechanical Engineer who wants to hone their skills in an exciting career where they can work on cutting edge electron beam technology and work side by side with industry experts with decades of experience.

The ideal candidate will be organized and a highly motivated team player with strong initiative and communication skills and possesses the drive to deliver quality results on time in a dynamic, multi-discipline, intensive and highly productive small team environment.

• Manage and own the entire electronics rack for the eProbe platform
• Design electro-mechanical modules from concept to production, including electronic enclosures, layout of cable routing and cable management, machined parts, sheet metal, welding etc.
• Conduct system and module analysis, such as thermal modeling, GD&T including tolerancing stack-up
• Interface with other Mechanical, System, Software and Electrical engineers to ensure proper mechanical module integration
• Design and analysis of system structural components
• Create documentation including drawings, BOMs and procedures
• Manage suppliers to ensure design requirements and project schedules are met
• Support engineering projects
• Drive continuous engineering projects and process improvements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
• Solid analytical and engineering skills
• 5+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering, preferable in semiconductor
• Proficiency with 3D solid modeling, preferably Solid Works
• Experience with FEA, thermal, flow, and vibration
• Experience with supplier management
• Ability to work effectively and partner with various team members
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under time constraints and deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration and influencing skills
• Ability to respond to, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines while maintaining the highest of standards for completeness and accuracy.
• Ability to effectively operate in a fast-paced team environment with ability to adapt to change
• Experience working in Clean rooms or production fabs where particle and chemical contamination is critical
• Experience using Solidworks Electrical
• Experience creating P& (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) and electrical schematics
• Experience designing electro-mechanical enclosures and component interface placement working closely with EE’s to ensure proper fit
