Engineering Technician

Job Summary

As an Engineering Technician, you'll support engineering services activities such as hardware and software design and development.

• Associate’s degree, military training, equivalent vocational training, or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of related experience.
• Awareness of Flextronics technologies/techniques.
• Demonstrates basic functional and/or process knowledge and participates in process.
• Basic competency related to function.
• Demonstrates technical skills.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, work that requires repetitive motion, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The employee regularly handles small components, reaches with hands and arms, stoops, kneels, crouches, crawls, talks and hears. The employee frequently stands, walks and sits. The employee occasionally climbs or balances.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception.
