Associate Test Engineer
We are looking for associate test engineers for various positions in manufacturing who will be involved with the testing of new technologies such as optics/opto-mechanical, assembly, electrical/PCB, alignment, and system integration. In these positions you will work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required to resolve problems and make routine recommendations. Top 3 daily responsibilities:
- Maintain tool schedules, complete alignment processes (milestones) per defined test times - work assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems
- Support tool progression priorities - tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems
- As required, prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in systems electro-mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair
- Ability to work in a clean room environment is required
- Experience with systems development and testing, including formulating system level requirements, test specifications and test results
- Ability to use and manipulate a variety of fine adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches, and calipers
- Effective across different functional teams in different locations
- Excellent written and oral interpersonal skills in English
- Excellent organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization
- Dedicated and able to work with a minimum of supervision
- Technical certificate, or AS degree, or military technical training experience, or equivalent vocational training in a technical discipline and a minimum of 2 years of related experience
- A BSME, BSEET or similar degree in an engineering discipline is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work with little or no instruction on routine work, and with general instructions on new assignments
- Ability to use a variety of testing and measuring instruments
- Willingness to learn, collaborate effectively within and across teams, and strive for continuous improvement
- Able to work extended hours, including weekends. Able to stand, sit, bend, climb, and periodically lift 30 pounds without assistance
