Process Engineer – Milpitas, CA (Onsite)

We’re hiring a Process Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations for PCBA (SMT & box build) production. This role focuses on process control, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement, partnering closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D teams.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and optimize PCB assembly processes (SMT/PTH)
Support NPI from prototype through production (DFM/DFA, pilot builds)
Program and optimize SMT and related equipment (ASMPT, Fuji, Panasonic, AOI, reflow, wave solder, coating systems)
Analyze defects and drive corrective actions (RCA, 8D, FMEA)
Improve KPIs (yield, FPY, OEE, cycle time, scrap)
Create SOPs, work instructions, and maintain process documentation
Collaborate cross-functionally and support audits, training, and technical guidance

Qualifications

5–7 years in manufacturing/process engineering, preferably PCBA/SMT
Strong knowledge of PCB assembly, SPC, and data-driven problem solving
Excellent communication, analytical, and continuous improvement skills
