We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology expert to join a growing team developing Sandisk's next generation of advanced memory products. This role will lead and drive innovation in device and array engineering, from early‑stage development through productization. The ideal candidate will combine strong device fundamentals with hands‑on experience in array characterization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze electrical data from devices and arrays to understand behavior, performance tradeoffs, and failure mechanisms. Translate findings into actionable feedback for process, materials, and design teams.
  • Develop and enhance characterization methodologies and wafer‑level test techniques for emerging memory technologies.
  • Partner with design, process, and product teams to develop characterization strategies and drive device performance, reliability, and yield improvements.
  • Collaborate with test development teams to bring up and validate test programs and new characterization vehicles.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical challenges and generate insights that accelerate device optimization and technology development.
  • Communicate effectively across teams to align priorities and ensure timely execution.
Required Qualifications
  • PhD or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, with strong hands‑on experience in device testing and characterization.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, reliability, and failure mechanisms.
  • Experience in the electrical characterization of non‑volatile memory technologies such as SOM, PCRAM, MRAM, or ReRAM.
  • Ability to translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable reports for cross‑functional audiences.
  • Self‑driven, able to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast‑paced development environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Track record of adopting AI tools to streamline technical work.
  • Strong scripting and test development skills, with proficiency in Python and data analysis platforms such as JMP or similar.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of lab test equipment, automated probers, and ATE memory testers.
  • Methodical and organized approach, with experience creating well‑structured technical reports and documentation.
