Sr. Product Engineer - JJMT Vision

Product Engineer – Milpitas, California

Johnson & Johnson Vision is recruiting for a Product Engineer to be based in Milpitas. This role follows a hybrid schedule, requiring onsite presence three days per week.

This position performs validation operations and develops real or virtual prototypes for early-stage product development. It also leads service validation operations, scales and optimizes processes, assembles equipment, analyzes samples, and prepares compliance documents.

• Member of project teams designing products, processes, and/or software to improve serviceability.
• Provide significant contributions to serviceability and product design improvements.
• Identify and resolve field service issues, partner concerns, and customer complaints; communicate status to peers and manager.
• Ensure completeness and testability of product requirements.
• Develop test approach and methods, write and perform test protocols, and write reports.
• Establish service engineering test capabilities.
• Develop and release service engineering design and training documentation.
• Primary technical resource assigned to new product development service workstream.
• Contribute to JNJ's intellectual property portfolio, submitting records of invention and patent disclosures.

• Education:
  
  BS in Math, Science, or Engineering required; MBA preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Required skills:
  
  Use of standard engineering, development, and test equipment; verbal and written communication; teamwork.
• Preferred skills:
  Sophisticated use of computer design tools; ophthalmic experience.

Base salary range: $125,000 to $201,250. Additional benefits include paid vacation (120 hrs/yr), sick time (40 hrs/yr), holiday pay (13 days/yr), family leave, bereavement leave, caregiver leave, volunteer leave, and military spouse time‑off. Employees are eligible for a consolidated retirement plan (pension) and a 401(k) savings plan.
