Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and development of next-generation semiconductor equipment. This role focuses on designing mechanical subsystems and tooling from concept through production release while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in mechanical design, electronics packaging, tolerance analysis, and FEA, along with experience working in a structured product development environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design mechanical subsystems, assemblies, and tooling for advanced semiconductor equipment.
• Develop concepts, detailed designs, and production-ready documentation.
• Perform mechanical design calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using Solid Works.
• Design electronic packaging solutions and precision mechanical components.
• Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, systems, and quality engineering teams throughout product development.
• Support design reviews, prototype builds, testing, and engineering change implementation.
• Ensure designs meet manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, and quality requirements.
• Drive products through the complete product lifecycle from concept, prototype, validation, and release to manufacturing.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of mechanical design engineering experience.
• Strong experience designing mechanical systems from concept through production release.
• Hands-on experience with electronics packaging and precision mechanical design.
• Experience performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Strong understanding of tolerance analysis and GD&T.
• Proficiency with Solid Works for 3D modeling and detailed drawing creation.
• Experience working within structured Design for Excellence (DFX) or similar product development processes.
