Mechanical Design Engineer

Seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design of sub-systems, mechanisms, platforms, and tooling for a new advanced technology system. This role is responsible for mechanical design activities and contributing to product development efforts from concept through release, including general mechanical design, electronics packaging, and subsystem development. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams and support projects throughout the design lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design mechanical sub-systems, mechanisms, platforms, and tooling.
• Support electronics packaging and subsystem design activities.
• Develop designs from concept through release.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and release packages.
• Perform FEA and tolerance analysis as part of the design process.
• Create and maintain mechanical designs using Solid Works.
• Collaborate within an established engineering development process.

Required Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 4 years of mechanical design engineering experience. Experience taking products and designs from concept through release. Experience with design release processes and engineering documentation.

Technical

Skills:

Experience with general mechanical design and electronics packaging. Experience performing FEA and tolerance analysis during the design process. Proficiency with Solid Works.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in an environment with a similar DFX process.
• Semiconductor equipment industry experience.
• Optomechanical design experience.
• Prior experience supporting complex capital equipment or advanced technology products.

Work Environment

• This position is 100% onsite.
• Standard schedule of Monday through Friday.
• A 40-hour work week is expected.
