Engineering – Mech Design Engineer 3

Milpitas, California (Onsite)

Seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design of sub‑systems, mechanisms, platforms, and tooling for a new advanced technology system. This role is responsible for mechanical design activities and contributing to product development efforts from concept through release, including general mechanical design, electronics packaging, and subsystem development. The engineer will work closely with cross‑functional teams and support projects throughout the design lifecycle.

• Design mechanical sub‑systems, mechanisms, platforms, and tooling.
• Support electronics packaging and subsystem design activities.
• Develop designs from concept through release.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, and release packages.
• Perform FEA and tolerance analysis as part of the design process.
• Create and maintain mechanical designs using Solid Works.
• Collaborate within an established engineering development process.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 4 years of mechanical design engineering experience, taking products and designs from concept through release, and experience with design release processes and engineering documentation.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  General mechanical design, electronics packaging, performing FEA and tolerance analysis during the design process, proficiency with Solid Works.

• Experience working in an environment with a similar DFX process.
• Semiconductor equipment industry experience.
• Optomechanical design experience.
• Prior experience supporting complex capital equipment or advanced technology products.

• 100% onsite.
• Standard schedule of Monday through Friday.
• 40‑hour work week expected.
