As a Product Engineer at MACOM Technology Solutions, youwill be a key team member of the Product Engineering team responsible for the release of a diverse portfolio of microwave semiconductor products. The Product Engineer’s role includes the development of production tests plans toverify product performance, the design and debug of RF test boards forautomated test equipment and the statistical analysis of data using soundstatistical methodology in order to set test limits and datasheet specifications.

To accomplish these tasks, the Product Engineer will interact closely with Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Applications, Marketing, and Reliability Engineering to analyze and resolve issues, as they relate to sample,pre-production and full production release of a product. You will workwith internal and offshore test facilities to release products to production. A strong semiconductor product characterization and testbackground and the ability to collaborate with multiple engineering disciplinesat different geographical location worldwide are essential to the success ofthis position.

• Generateproduction tests plans to verify product performance.
• Design/analyzeRF & microwavetest boards for automated test equipment.
• Set upand perform lab RF measurements.
• Conductmeasurement systems analysis (gauge R&R).
• Analyzedata using sound statistical methodology.
• Performyield analysis and hold meetings of the project team to review the findings.
• Ensureall aspects of product manufacturing, including hardware, documentation,BOMs and costing are in place for the production release of a product.
• Ensurenew product introduction is successful and on schedule.

• BS in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent – Masters degree is a plus
• Morethan 7 years of experience as a Product or Test Engineer in the semiconductor field
• Knowledge of a wide range of RF/microwave semiconductor products includingamplifiers, switches, attenuators, mixers and limiters
• StrongRF/microwave test and measurement skills
• Experience in the characterization of semiconductor devices
• Abilityto analyze data using sound statistical methodology and effectively present technical information
• Exceptionalteam and communication skills to interface with internal cross-functional teams and subcontractors
• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as JMP and Galaxy Examinator
• Experience in scripting is a plus(Python, JMP)

The Salary Range for this position is $98,000 – $166,000. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
