Data Specialist (Data Validation) – Milpitas, CA – Dawar Consulting, Inc.

Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)

Pay Rate: $29/hr on W2

Summary: Reviewing and entering historical evidence into a web-based evidence system, as well as assisting with logging additional evidence. This process will require reviewing hard disks and the content stored within and confirming that the data matches historical reports. Additionally, new evidence must be handled following best evidence management practices and following all legal and compliance policies and procedures. Does not necessarily need experience in related fields as long as they have the required knowledge set to perform the job (i.e. data entry, data validation, and working with hard drives and disc images).

• Review digital evidence stored on hard drives and ensure the data matches inventory log.
• Prepare Excel document following specific template to upload to web-based evidence management system.
• Review data entered into web-based evidence system to ensure upload of data is correct.
• Verify that the documentation and electronic devices match what is being reported and what is received.
• High volume data input from documentation received, such as an employee’s name and identifier, by handwriting and into a computer application used for tracking purposes.
• High volume data input off electronic devices received, such as the make, model, serial number, by handwriting and into a computer application used for tracking purposes.
• Identify any issues of inconsistencies in documentation or devices received and communicate these issues with the involved personnel.
