The ideal candidate combines deep storage industry expertise with a strong understanding of SSD controller technologies, firmware architectures, NAND flash technologies, and emerging AI infrastructure requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Define and execute the product roadmap for enterprise and data center NVMe SSD solutions.
- Identify market opportunities driven by AI infrastructure, cloud computing, hyperscale deployments, and emerging data-intensive workloads.
- Develop product strategies that differentiate through performance, efficiency, reliability, firmware innovation, and computational storage capabilities.
- Analyze industry trends, competitive products, customer requirements, and technology roadmaps.
- Own product requirements for PCIe Gen4, Gen5, and next-generation NVMe SSD platforms.
- Define SSD performance, endurance, power efficiency, QoS, latency, and reliability targets.
- Partner closely with controller architecture, firmware, ASIC, and system engineering teams.
- Guide prioritization of firmware features and controller capabilities aligned with customer needs and market opportunities.
- Understand storage requirements for AI training clusters, inference infrastructure, GPU servers, and distributed storage systems.
- Collaborate with customers and ecosystem partners to optimize SSD solutions for AI workloads.
- Engage directly with hyperscalers, OEMs, cloud service providers, AI infrastructure companies, and enterprise customers.
- Gather Voice of Customer (VoC) insights and translate them into product requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, systems engineering, SSD development, or related storage industry roles.
- Proven experience in running ASIC product management.
- Strong knowledge of NAND Flash technologies (TLC, QLC, emerging NAND), SSD controllers, and firmware architecture.
- Experience with AI and HPC storage requirements.
- Experience working closely with controller, firmware, hardware, and system engineering teams.
- Strong analytical, business, and communication skills.
- MBA or advanced technical degree.
- Familiarity with AI infrastructure architectures including GPU clusters and large-scale storage systems.
- Experience engaging hyperscale customers and cloud service providers.
- Participation in NVMe, SNIA, OCP, or related industry standards activities.
- Knowledge of storage benchmarking, workload characterization, and performance analysis.
