Job Overview
You play a critical role in keeping our operations running smoothly by ensuring materials, services, and equipment are sourced on time, at the right cost, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements. In this temporary Buyer role, you will partner closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support mission‑critical programs in a fast‑paced, high‑accountability environment.
Responsibilities- Purchase materials, equipment, supplies, and services in accordance with established purchasing policies and procedures
- Manage procurement activities across a diverse portfolio, including services, maintenance, repairs, chemicals, electronics, machined parts, semiconductors, and hardware built to government and company specifications
- Negotiate pricing, delivery, and commercial terms with suppliers
- Track and report on open purchase orders, late orders, delivery schedules, and supplier on‑time performance
- Follow up with suppliers to resolve delivery, quality, or documentation issues
- Interface professionally with internal customers and external vendors
- Support continuous improvement of procurement and compliance‑related policies, forms, and training materials
- Perform all work with a strong focus on ethics, compliance, and safe work practices
- Procurement and negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities – required
- Experience working in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment with minimal supervision – required
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal – required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel – required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Buyer role – required
- High School Diploma or GED – required
- Bachelor’s degree – preferred
- Procurement or supply chain professional development courses – preferred
- A hands‑on opportunity to contribute to regulated, high‑impact programs

Salary Range: $62,800.00–$83,700.00
U.S. citizenship is required due to access restrictions.
