Attractive annual salary: $320,000 – $400,000 DOE/DOQ. The City of Milpitas is seeking an experienced public sector leader to be our next City Manager. This highly skilled leader will oversee municipal operations, set strategic direction, maintain operational excellence, advance key initiatives, and guide the organization toward long-term success. The City Manager serves as the City’s chief executive, leading the City Manager’s Office and 14 City departments/offices, guiding a workforce of 450 employees, and stewarding an FY 2026 operating budget of $268.5 million.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned municipal executive with demonstrated competence in municipal finance, legal matters, planning, and/or economic development, and ability to foster a collaborative and respectful organizational culture.
