EMC Laboratory Manager
The EMC Laboratory Manager oversees all Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing operations, ensuring the facility meets both global regulatory requirements and automotive industry standards. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, maintaining laboratory accreditations, and leading complex infrastructure projects like chamber construction and equipment upgrades. The ideal candidate balances technical expertise in RF and electronics with the strategic vision required to manage engineering teams, interface with executive leadership, and support major automotive OEMs.
Job functions include manager responsible for laboratory operations, full supervisory responsibility, ensuring delivery of testing services, overseeing the maintenance and optimization of all RF measurement equipment, experience on common radio product standards, acting as the ultimate technical authority on global commercial regulations and automotive OEM validation standards, ensuring continuous compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation requirements, and partnering with key automotive clients and OEMs.
Leadership and supervisory responsibilities include daily operational leadership, performance management, technical oversight of data validation, enforcing strict laboratory safety protocols, and ability to work effectively as a team leader.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Electronics, Physics, or a closely related technical field, minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in EMC testing and compliance, active participation or membership in international EMC or automotive standardization committees, in-depth knowledge of regulatory and automotive standards, strong communications skills, and ability to travel 30% of the time.
Compensation is $106,000 to 142,000 per year base.
