Job Title:

Kid Strong General Manager Center: 261 Jacklin Road, Milpitas, CA 95035

Total Compensation: $75,000 per year + performance bonuses tied to enrollment milestones and member growth. For the right GM, total compensation scales to six figures — uncapped above our opening targets.

Kid Strong General Managers are the leaders of the center – it is the responsibility of the General Manager to foster a culture of learning and development for both their coaches and the families that attend the center. The General Manager is a talented, welcoming, and engaging leader who is focused on defining goals and delivering an exceptional experience for the kids, families, and team members.

The goal of the General Manager is to develop and train their coaching team, build close relationships with their members, and deliver key business results such as sales performance and lowering member attrition.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role starts before the doors open — and the first 30 days set the tone for everything. We're looking for someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do. You will hit the ground running on day one, owning pre-sale momentum, building community presence, and laying the operational foundation for a successful grand opening. If you need to be managed closely to stay motivated, this isn't the role for you.

Pre-Sale

Membership — Own the Number
  • Immediately take ownership of the pre-sale membership pipeline — know your lead count, conversion rate, and gap to target every single day. Conduct outbound call drives, attend community events, and initiate corporate partner outreach. No lead goes cold on your watch.
  • Convert trials and interest into founding memberships with urgency. Track and report weekly progress with a bias toward action, not excuses.
Community & Corporate Outreach — Get Out There
  • Identify and attend at least 2–3 community events or pop-ups in the first 30 days to build brand awareness and generate leads. Initiate outreach to local corporate partners, schools, and family-facing businesses — every connection is a potential pipeline of members.
  • Represent Kid Strong Milpitas with energy and professionalism in every community touchpoint. Build a local outreach calendar for the pre-opening window and execute relentlessly — you are the brand.
Coach Recruiting — Build Your Team
  • Immediately begin sourcing, screening, and interviewing coach candidates — opening day staffing is your responsibility. Establish a recruiting pipeline with a target pool of candidates identified within the first two weeks.
  • Evaluate candidates against the Kid Strong Coach DNA profile; don't compromise on culture fit for the sake of speed. Begin onboarding and training selected coaches well ahead of grand opening.
HQ Certification — Frisco, Texas
  • Within the first 30 days, you will be required to complete both Coach Certification and GM Certification at Kid Strong HQ in Frisco, Texas. These are non-negotiable requirements and must be successfully completed before the center opens.
  • Travel to Frisco is mandatory. Come prepared, take it seriously, and return ready to lead your team with full command of the Kid Strong curriculum, culture, and operating standards.
CENTER OPERATIONS ONCE OPEN:
  • Understand the center’s key KPIs and financials to make informed and responsible business decisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Kid Strong families that align with our core values and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Oversee center-level initiatives i.e. center maintenance, training, brand consistency, etc.
  • Daily, Weekly, and Monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center. Delegate center tasks amongst the center team to ensure consistent execution.
  • Manage center-level employee issues and manage appropriate documentation.
  • The typical schedule includes 4 weekday and 1-weekend shifts with specific hours dependent on the needs of the center.
  • Set and communicate coach schedules using appropriate scheduling and communication platforms.
  • Schedule, promote, and sell…
