Job Summary

A clean-room/contamination control background is a plus, but not necessary. If you are highly motivated, possess a strong work ethic and want to establish a career with an industry leader in a growing market, then we want to hear from you!!

Responsibilities
  • Sort articles by item and material type.
  • Gown in clean-room garments with a minimum of a hood, coverall, boots and gloves.
  • Follow best practices for clean-room environments.
  • Weigh articles, load articles into washer, start washer.
  • Remove clean, wet articles from washer and place them into dryers for measured time cycles.
  • Turn/right articles as necessary in preparation of packaging. Inspect for damage.
  • Mend torn/damaged articles as necessary.
  • Bundle/package articles to in accordance with work order requirements.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Education and/or

    Experience:

    Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language

    Skills:

    Ability to read a limited number of two‑three‑syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Mathematical

    Skills:

    Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand.
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and must follow established procedures.
  • The employee must follow established procedures to avoid contamination of clean-room.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
