Johnson Service Group is looking for a SMT QC for one of our contract manufacturing clients in San Jose. This person will support daily production by performing inspections, collecting quality data, and ensuring printed circuit board assemblies meet IPC-A-610, customer drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect AOI failed boards and identify defects
- Perform first article, in-process, and assembly-level inspections
- Verify feeder setups and component placements
- Review and document rejected boards in the system
- Stop production and notify operations when defect rates exceed limits
- Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, customer specs, and ESD procedures
- Support MRB activities and assist with receiving/final inspections as needed
- High School Diploma or GED required
- IPC-A-610 Certification preferred
- SMT/AOI or electronics manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read drawings, BOMs, and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and basic computer skills
