Planning Coordinator

Job Description

Johnson Service Group is seeking a Production Planner for an Electronic Manufacturing company in San Jose. The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating production schedules, ensuring material readiness, and supporting on-time delivery. This role acts as a liaison between planning, production, and procurement to maintain efficient operations and meet customer commitments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust production schedules to meet deadlines and optimize capacity
• Coordinate daily production activities, shipments, and build plans
• Ensure material, tooling, and documentation readiness for scheduled work orders
• Partner with procurement to resolve material shortages and ensure timely delivery
• Analyze production data and reports to support decision-making and performance goals
• Level-load work centers and maintain schedules based on capacity and demand
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address issues impacting delivery and lead times
• Support product lifecycle planning and inventory control activities
• Maintain accurate schedules in planning systems (SAP) and communicate updates as needed

Qualifications

• 0-4 years of experience in production planning or a related field (electronics manufacturing preferred)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (strong Excel skills required)
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and reports
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Pay rate starting at $28/hr.
