SMT Set Up Operator at Aerotek Milpitas, CA

Job Description

Urgently hiring SMT operators for the 3rd shift in Milpitas. Pays a 20% differential.

• Operate SMT equipment and perform daily maintenance.
• Conduct changeovers for the SMT process.
• Operate SMT machines for solder printing, SPI, chip shooter, and reflow.
• Measure and record solder paste height in SPC.
• Perform quality checks after solder paste printing.
• Set up feeders and replace or exchange components, ensuring proper documentation.
• Manually load special SMT components as required before reflow.
• Control output by managing SMT task time and adhering to all required procedures.
• Immediately report any quality issues to the team lead and supervisor.
• Understand all MPI and BOM, and possess knowledge of basic electronics component values and packages.
• Adhere to company policies on 6S and maintain discipline in the working area.
• Examine circuit boards for defects such as shorts, excess or missing solder, scratches, cracks, and incorrect component placement.
• Conduct 5S and maintain discipline in the setup area.
• Participate in lean manufacturing and efficiency improvement projects.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
