Production Manager, Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma
Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Manufacturing is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This role drives execution excellence on the production floor while supporting manufacturing strategy, continuous improvement, and workforce development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily production operations to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Drive accountability and execution discipline across all production areas.
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
- Escalate and resolve operational issues impacting throughput or performance.
- Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives within production.
- Improve key metrics including OEE, yield, scrap, downtime, and labor efficiency.
- Implement structured problem-solving and root cause analysis to address production issues.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and R&D to optimize production flow and resolve challenges.
- Support new product introduction, process transfers, and ongoing operational improvements.
- Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and frontline teams.
- Drive workforce planning, staffing, and shift optimization.
- Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits, inspections, and corrective action implementation.
- Establish and monitor production KPIs, utilizing dashboards to track performance and drive improvements.
- Report production performance to site leadership and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field.
- 8–10+ years of manufacturing experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience leading production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or Business Administration.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
- APCIS CPIM certification.
- PMP Project Management certification.
- Experience with automation, digital manufacturing, or Industry 4.0 technologies.
