Manufacturing Assembly Technician
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Assembly Technician with hands-on experience building, assembling, troubleshooting, and integrating involving complex machinery, large instrumentation platforms, robotics, semiconductor equipment, biotech/life sciences instrumentation, industrial automation, aerospace manufacturing, defense systems, packaging machinery, printing equipment, CNC machinery, medical device manufacturing, and other capital equipment environments. This role is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, experience working with large equipment or machinery, and a passion for building and troubleshooting sophisticated systems in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and integrate mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components into complex systems.
- Perform equipment installation, cable routing, hardware integration, and subsystem assembly.
- Execute testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities to ensure proper system functionality.
- Follow manufacturing processes, engineering documentation, and quality standards.
- Identify, document, and escalate technical issues as needed.
- Support equipment configuration, software loading, and system setup activities when required.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to meet production and project goals.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and reliability.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, electromechanical assembly, equipment integration, or related technical environments.
- Experience assembling capital equipment, industrial machinery, robotics, automation systems, instrumentation, aerospace systems, medical devices, or similar complex equipment.
- Experience reading and following assembly instructions, work procedures, and technical documentation.
- Hands-on experience using standard mechanical tools and equipment.
- Experience with cable routing, system wiring, equipment installation, or mechanical integration activities.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical issues.
- Comfortable working with large equipment, machinery, or complex assemblies.
- Ability to lift and move components weighing up to 49 lbs.
- Willingness to work extended hours, overtime, and flexible schedules as required.
Skillsets:
- System-level troubleshooting and equipment validation
- Cleanroom or controlled-environment manufacturing experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
Education:
- Technical degree, military technical training, vocational certification, or equivalent hands-on experience.
