Production Manager, Production QC/QA, Operations Management
Overview Of Position
The supervisory responsibilities include monitoring and troubleshooting production processes, improving safety and efficiency, and training new employees. The role also involves updating work schedule and managing production results through ERP systems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Trains, directs and develops subordinates to meet operating, safety and quality requirements within the department and/or area.
- Supervises production staff to ensure product quality and integrity and ensures all finished product meets or exceeds customer requirements.
- Trains and develops production staff regarding policies, procedures, and related responsibilities; ensures certification for new employees is completed in a timely manner.
- Schedules workforce to support production needs, ensuring efficient production processes and allowing team members to leverage downtime for other activities or training.
- Works closely with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Customer Service to execute the operating plan.
- Participates in leadership training to build on knowledge and management skills.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of related experience.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to communicate and interface well with others.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Committed, dedicated and self‑motivated working ethics, with full ownership of projects or assigned tasks.
- The desire to strive for continuous improvement and excellence within a fast‑paced growth environment.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and production processes.
- Time management:
Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. - Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely and effective manner.
- Ability to make independent decisions related to scheduling.
Pay: $80K - $85K
This job equally operates in a production and professional office environment, which may involve wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, and work near moving mechanical parts or equipment. Noise levels are typically moderate. The role requires regular lifting or moving up to 30 pounds and involves standing, walking, talking, and speaking close to other employees, with occasional non‑standard hours including nights, weekends, and possible holidays.
Physical requirements also include extended periods of sitting and computer use, as well as visual abilities such as close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
