Instrument Test Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the medical device manufacturing industry, is seeking an Instrument Test Technician to join their team. As an Instrument Test Technician, you will be part of the Production Support team supporting quality assurance and product development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $28hr - $32hr

Shift: 1st shift- 6am- 2:30pm

What's the Job?

  • Conduct production testing of assembled flow cytometers and related medical device products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Perform system-level and subassembly troubleshooting to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Optimize instruments after final assembly, including laser alignment, pressure adjustments, and electrical tuning.
  • Analyze test results, document findings, and generate reports to support quality and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, QA, and production teams to improve testing procedures and product quality.

What's Needed?

  • Associate's degree (A.S.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • At least 3 years of related experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment, preferably in medical devices.
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting laser-based optical systems, fluidic systems, and digital/analog circuitry.
  • Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, and logic analyzers.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9000, cGMP 21 CFR part 820, and lean manufacturing principles.
