Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician in Milpitas, CA. This role is ideal for an experienced hands‑on builder who can take engineering drawings, work instructions, BOMs, and a complete kit of materials, then independently produce a finished cable, mechanical, or electromechanical assembly that meets specification.
This is not a repetitive assembly‑line position. The right candidate will enjoy owning complete builds from start to finish in a quality‑focused manufacturing environment. You will work with a variety of components, hardware, connectors, wiring, and subassemblies while collaborating with a team that values precision, accountability, clear communication, and strong workmanship.
This opportunity is well suited for a dependable technician who takes pride in doing things correctly, identifying issues early, and contributing to a professional production environment where attention to detail and craftsmanship matter.
Key Responsibilities- Build complete cable, wire harness, mechanical, or electromechanical assemblies from engineering drawings, BOMs, work instructions, and kitted materials.
- Interpret assembly documentation and follow required processes to produce high‑quality finished assemblies.
- Perform hands‑on assembly tasks involving hardware, connectors, wiring, routing, labeling, subassemblies, and related components.
- Inspect work for accuracy, fit, function, workmanship, and compliance with specifications.
- Identify drawing, material, fit, or assembly issues and communicate concerns before proceeding.
- Work independently in a high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing environment with changing assembly requirements.
