USI/Asteelflash is actively looking for a highly organized and talented QMS Engineer to help support the quality activities at our location in Milpitas, CA. A QMS Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The role supports continuous improvement initiatives, audits, corrective actions, and quality performance monitoring across manufacturing, engineering, or service processes.

This position is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and sustain quality management systems in alignment with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Plan, conduct, and lead internal and external audits, including supplier audits, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Oversee the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process, ensuring timely and effective resolution of non-conformances and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all QMS documentation is current, controlled, and accessible, facilitating smooth audits and compliance checks.
  • Provide training to staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices to foster a quality-centric culture.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, driving initiatives to reduce non-conformances and improve overall quality metrics.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure quality standards are integrated into all aspects of operations.
  • Stay up-to-date of changes in relevant standards and regulations, ensuring the organization remains compliant with all applicable requirements.
Requirements Education/Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Certifications:

    ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is required;
Experience (Years & Fields)
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • 3+ years working in Electronic Manufacturing industry
