Job Summary
Lead assay development for the BD Rhapsody™ platform, driving high‑quality product launches through feasibility studies, process and QC development, optimizations, verification & validation, and tech transfer support. Work collaboratively with wet‑lab scientists, bioinformatics experts, and commercial partners to design and execute experiments, analyze single‑cell genomics data, and present findings to cross‑functional teams.
Responsibilities- Lead assay development tasks for the BD Rhapsody™ platform, including feasibility studies, process and QC development, optimization, verification & validation, and tech transfer support.
- Drive development work in collaboration with wet‑lab scientists, bioinformatics scientists, commercial and operational partners.
- Design and perform hands‑on experiments to achieve development objectives.
- Independently analyze and interpret single‑cell genomics data and present results to cross‑functional teams.
- Compile analyses and develop protocols, technical notes, posters, and presentations showcasing Rhapsody platform performance.
- Provide scientific expertise to optimize current products and support the development of new product applications.
- Doctoral degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
- 8+ years of research experience, including 5+ years of industry experience in a related field.
- Extensive experience with RNA‑seq and other next‑generation sequencing techniques, including library preparation, sequencing, and data analysis.
- Experience with genomic assays using FFPE (formalin‑fixed, paraffin‑embedded) samples.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop assay products, critically analyze data, and maintain excellent experimental records.
- Preferred: FFPE sample handling expertise; assay/reagent product development; spatial genomics and/or proteomics; single‑cell multiomics assays; biopharma/translational market experience; immunology background.
