Cashiers provide fast, friendly, accurate and safe service. They process Checkout and/or Return transactions, monitor the Self-Checkout area, and seek product knowledge to inform customers and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies to minimize shrink.

Head Cashier responsibilities include expediting price checks, approving POS transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental; providing first-level escalation for customer issues; and assisting in supervision, coaching and training of Front End Associates.

Preferred qualification: 1+ years of cashier experience.

• Provide fast, friendly, accurate, and safe checkout and customer service.
• Process cash, credit, and other payment methods; handle returns and exchanges.
• Maintain accurate cashiering procedures and monitor the Self-Checkout area.
• Escalate issues as needed and support frontline teammates.
• Assist in training and coaching of new Cashiers and Front End Associates.

• 1+ years of cashier experience (preferred).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow policies to minimize shrink and ensure accuracy in transactions.
