Role Summary
The Lead Associate’s primary function is to sell and promote Perry Ellis merchandise through the execution of company customer service standards. The role reinforces the Store Manager, ASM, and Supervisors to ensure the store meets goals and standards in financial performance, customer satisfaction, and visual presentation.
Customer Service Responsibilities- Consistently provide customer service to company standards and lead the team
- Generate maximum sales potential in accordance with the customer service standards
- Build a repeat customer base through excellent PE Loyalty Program data capture
- Maintain strong knowledge of product, promotions, and special events to communicate more effectively to customers
- Foster a positive store experience by treating all customers and staff members fairly and consistently
- Effectively maintain floor coverage; acknowledge every customer and give priority over assigned tasks
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication
- Manage time and prioritize tasks
- Step in when the supervisor/keyholder is not present
- Keep merchandise filled to appropriate levels on the sales floor
- Ensure the store is visually distinctive and appearance impeccably maintained
- Minimize shortages through proper loss prevention procedures and excellent customer service
- Demonstrate awareness of store sales plans and results
- Follow all operational policies and procedures
- Manage time and prioritize tasks
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
- Support execution of all pricing strategies
- Support execution of store planograms
- Understand and support the company’s brand position
- Support replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor as needed
- Energetic and positive attitude
- 1–2 years of retail experience
- Flexible availability and reliable transportation
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Customer‑service oriented (outgoing, friendly, personable, positive attitude)
- Must be able to move and/or lift up to 25 pounds
- High school degree
