Field/Service Technician, Installation Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Responsibilities
- Selected candidate must be able to work 6 days per week, 10 hours per day.
- Installation of new tools at customer sites, following all procedures and providing a consistent result within specified cycle times.
- Evaluates, analyzes, diagnoses and troubleshoots technical equipment problems related to installation.
- Troubleshooting and repairs of moderate system level problems based on technical knowledge, education and training. Seeks help from senior engineers and management when problems exceed knowledge.
- Prepares field service reports and daily pass‑downs on installation progress and non‑conformances; contributes to post‑activity Quality Feedback Reports.
- Obtains all necessary international travel documents and manages personal affairs to be ready for extended travel.
- Manages personal finances to prevent disruption to scheduled activities while traveling.
- Travels domestically and internationally by commercial transportation to customer sites.
- Collaborates with senior engineers, TSE, or managers to formulate and carry out Plans of Action.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot problems in software and electronics, optics, mechanical, electro‑mechanical, and electro‑optical systems.
- Knowledge of computer theory, various operating systems, and networking in Windows, Unix or Novell environments.
- Basic automation functionality on assigned equipment set.
- Successful completion of required ongoing technical training to acquire thorough knowledge of company equipment, including installation procedures and diagnostic techniques.
- Competency with the MS Office suite of applications.
- Attainment and maintenance of Installation Certification Level 3 – proficiency in complete product installation and system‑level repair within a product family.
- Semiconductor industry process knowledge; must take the KT class for Introduction to semiconductor processes.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work under pressure and stringent timelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- ASET minimum degree or equivalent work experience in supporting complex capital equipment for the semiconductor industry is required.
Base Pay Range: $34.33 – $58.37 per hour. The total rewards package may include performance incentive programs, additional benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with company matching, employee stock purchase program, tuition reimbursement, wellness benefits, paid time off, family care leave, and other voluntary benefits.
Interns are eligible for some of the benefits listed. Pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and may vary based on state minimum wage rates and candidate qualifications.
