Group/Division
With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chip makers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA's metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.
The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Responsibilities
Are you passionate about building end-to-end software solutions, learning new technologies, and collaborating with highly skilled teams? Join us as a Software Engineering Intern and work alongside domain experts to gather requirements, translate user needs into software specifications, and contribute to innovative projects that drive system diagnostics and calibration.
As a diagnostics software engineer intern, you will:
Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop sophisticated diagnostics and calibration software features. Contribute creative ideas for image and signal analysis methods to improve system performance. Develop and innovate software features for visualization, characterization, and performance analysis. Collaborate and conquer challenges with experts to perform root cause analysis and uncover actionable insights. Develop and complete robust software test methods to ensure functionality and reliability.
Qualifications
* Outstanding attention to detail and a passion for contributing to impactful software projects.
* High curiosity, quick learning ability, and the strive to turn concepts into prototypes that validate ideas.
* Foundational knowledge and coursework in signal processing and/or imaging analysis (e.g., filtering, feature extraction, edge detection)
* Experience on collaborating with diverse teams to implement data processing solution.
* Familiarity with databases and SQL for data management.
Minimum Qualifications
* Currently enrolled in MSc or PhD programs in one of, the following fields :
Physical Sciences, Optics, Computer Science, Image Processing, or Data Science.
* Hands-on experience or coursework in programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, or LabVIEW.
Base Pay Range: $47.00 - $57.00 per hour based on pursuit of a Masters and Ph.D.
