Job OverviewLead the development of laser software solutions in the medical device industry, guiding an agile team of engineers, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving cross‑functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, defining goals, roadmaps, and metrics.
- Guide architecture, design, development, and integration of safety‑critical software using C/C++, Python, Qt, LabVIEW, and .NET.
- Ensure compliance with FDA 21

62304, and cybersecurity/privacy requirements. - Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities, resources, and budgets.
- Develop and maintain documentation and traceability for regulatory audits.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent, conduct performance reviews, and plan career development.
- Collaborate with hardware, QA, product, regulatory, and operations teams.
- Oversee vendor development and serve as subject‑matter expert.
- Resolve system, hardware, and software issues through troubleshooting and data analysis.
- Adhere to Agile methodologies, CI/CD, unit testing, and version control.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of embedded and GUI software development experience in medical devices.
- 4+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and embedded systems; familiarity with QNX and Windows.
- Experience with FDA‑regulated industry and regulatory documentation.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD, unit testing, and version control.
- Travel up to 10% of the time.
- Python, UML, C#, Qt or LabVIEW.
- RTOS, I2C, SPI, RS485, TCP, UDP.
- Windows API, DLLs, hardware‑software integration.

- Experience with JAMA, Git, Jenkins, JIRA.
