We are seeking a highly motivated Middleware Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Milpitas, California. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in software development, strong programming skills in C/C++ ,C# and Python
, working knowledge of QNX-based systems
, and exposure to software testing and validation activities. The candidate should possess a positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn and explore new technologies in a fast-paced product development environment.
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain middleware software components for embedded and real-time systems.
- Develop software using C, C++, C# and Python following coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in middleware integration activities across operating systems, applications, and hardware platforms.
- Work with QNX RTOS environments and support system-level software development activities.
- Develop unit tests and assist in software verification and validation activities.
- Execute functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Analyze software defects, perform debugging, and support root cause investigations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, hardware, systems, and test engineers.
- Contribute to software design reviews, code reviews, and technical documentation.
- Continuously learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and development methodologies.
- 1 to 3 years of software development experience.
- Strong programming skills in:
- C
- C++
- C#
- Python
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of QNX RTOS
. - Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Familiarity with source code management tools such as Git.
- Exposure to debugging tools and software troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with software testing, validation, and defect tracking.
- Understanding of multithreading, IPC, and system-level programming concepts is a plus.
- Experience working on embedded systems or real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with Linux or other embedded operating systems.
- Exposure to middleware frameworks and device communication protocols.
- Internship or academic projects involving embedded software development.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks is a plus.
- Excellent attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Curiosity to explore emerging technologies and innovative solutions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
