Senior Ecologist – Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Ecologist to join a well‑established, multidisciplinary environmental consultancy based in Milton Keynes. The role involves leading ecological surveys, producing high‑quality technical reports (including EcIA and BNG assessments), managing projects from inception to completion, mentoring junior team members, and working closely with clients and multidisciplinary colleagues.

• Lead ecological surveys and fieldwork.
• Produce technical reports including EcIA and BNG assessments.
• Manage projects from inception to completion.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Contribute to licence applications, project proposals, and ecological advice.

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in ecological consultancy.
• Strong ecological report‑writing and project‑management skills.
• Protected species survey licence (desirable).
• Membership or working towards membership of CIEEM.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Able to live within commuting distance of the Milton Keynes office.
