Carrying out responsive repairs, you’ll help ensure our customers’ homes are safe, comfortable and well looked after.
Contract Permanent, full time
Work week 39 hours, Monday to Friday, 08:30‑18:00 (variable working pattern)
Snapshot of your role- Carry out repairs and maintenance across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, UPVC, fencing, high‑level works, and painting.
- Complete all work to a high standard, achieving first‑time fixes and excellent customer satisfaction.
- Use and develop multi‑trade skills to plan and coordinate work efficiently.
- Ensure all materials and tools are prepared for each job, delivering cost‑effective results.
- Adapt to changing priorities to provide a responsive and flexible repairs service.
- Work closely with colleagues and external partners to overcome challenges and maintain smooth operations.
- Maintain vehicles, tools, stock and safety devices, following all procedures.
- Represent Amplius in customers’ homes and communities, providing excellent service, supporting safety and mentoring colleagues.
- Relevant City & Guilds Craft Certificate or NVQ equivalent, ideally with 2+ years post‑qualification experience (plumbing bias preferred).
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Multi‑Skilled Operative in a customer‑facing role.
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service and resolve issues independently.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Experience maintaining van stocks and using a mobile device to manage work remotely.
- Strong communication skills with a positive, outcome‑focused approach.
- Ability to mentor colleagues and support team operations.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across service areas is essential for this role.
DBS clearance is required for this role.
