PSV Mechanic – Join Arriva
Full‑time | 5 out of 7 shift rota (mornings, afternoons & late shifts) | £26.35 per hour (£54,808 per year) | Free bus travel for you & your household | Ongoing training & EV upskilling | 25 days holiday
What you’ll do:- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and safety inspections on buses
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and air system faults
- Repair engines, brakes, steering, suspension, and other vehicle parts
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections
- Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately
- Follow health & safety procedures at all times
- Work closely with the workshop team
- Assist with breakdowns and emergency repairs when needed
- Keep the workshop clean and organised
- Manage and order parts when required
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
- PSV/HGV mechanical experience – preferably within a bus or coach environment
- Strong fault‑finding & diagnostic skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Full UK Driving Licence (PCV licence – Cat D highly desirable)
