Role Overview
Join the RAC as a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our SMR Division – a new era of mobile repair. This role offers a base salary of £40,178 with on‑target earnings up to £52,000, guaranteed overtime opportunities, and a 40‑hour week with core hours 8:30 am–5:00 pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays.
What you’ll do- Carry out routine servicing, diagnostics using advanced mobile equipment, and in‑depth repairs that are normally completed in a workshop.
- Provide member advice and recommendations based on inspections.
- Perform vehicle safety checks in line with RAC standards.
- Work from a fully equipped van with a fuel card, uniform, full tool set, and advanced diagnostics.
- Manage a clear digital schedule of pre‑booked appointments, avoiding reactive callouts.
- Base salary of £40,170 and earnings up to £52,000 through bonuses and premium‑rate overtime.
- Option to opt‑in for guaranteed overtime after the first month.
