Operative Assistant - Responsive Repairs

Overview

In this role, you will be using your trade skills to directly improve the lives of our residents. Collaboration is key, as you will be working with a variety of other skilled tradespeople, and our friendly administrative staff and managers, to achieve our goals. You will be the friendly face of Fairhive for our tenants.

• Assist Operatives in the installation of planned packages, undertake responsive repairs and work in void properties, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
• Support the team with the preparation and setup of work areas, including the movement of materials and tools.
• Assist in the removal of existing fixtures, fittings, and appliances in preparation for new installations.
• Learn and develop new skills related to but not limited to plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry under the guidance of experienced professionals to provide assistance.

• Basic knowledge of construction, carpentry, plumbing or electrical work is preferred but not required.
• Experience in a similar role or a relevant apprenticeship.
• A strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic IT skills.
• Commitment to the promotion of equality and diversity in service delivery.
