Vehicle Paint Technician

Elite Car Body is a well‑established, independently run accident repair centre, proudly serving Milton Keynes since 1998. With over 140 years of combined experience across our team, we are known for our professional standards, quality workmanship, and customer‑first approach.

Due to continued demand, we are looking for an experienced Vehicle Painter to join our team. We are looking for someone who is hard-working, practical, enjoys working with their hands and takes genuine pride in producing a high-quality finish. If you are a fully skilled Vehicle Prepper looking to progress, your existing skills are highly transferable, and we would also welcome your application.

About the role

You’ll be working in a BSI Kitemark (BS10125) approved bodyshop, repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards using modern equipment and high‑quality materials. Our work ranges from minor cosmetic repairs to major insurance and accident damage, so attention to detail and pride in finish are essential.

This is a role for an experienced professional who can quickly become part of our busy repair team, working to the high standards our customers expect.

Key responsibilities

* Producing high‑quality paint finishes across a range of vehicles

* Preparing, painting and finishing repairs to manufacturer and BSI standards

* Working efficiently while maintaining consistent quality

* Using modern spray booths, tools and calibrated equipment

* Keeping your work area clean, organised and compliant

What we’re looking for

* Proven experience as a Vehicle Painter or fully skilled Vehicle Prepper with transferable skills

* Pride in producing high-quality work

* Good attention to detail

* Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team

* Full UK driving licence (preferred)

* Hard-working, practical and enjoys working with their hands

* Takes pride in producing consistently high-quality workmanship

* Reliable, punctual and works well within a team

* NVQ qualifications are welcomed but not essential, demonstrable experience is essential

What we offer

* Salary is competitive and dependent on experience and skill level. Experienced Vehicle Painters can expect a salary of between £30,000 and £40,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

You will work a 40-hour week from 8.15am to 5.15pm, and you will have plenty of opportunity for overtime due to the high demand for our work. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and a Christmas closure.
