Salary: £33,810 to £40,792 per year depending on experience
Shift uplift of 33% available (£44,963 to £54,252)
Shift Pattern: 06:00 - 14:00 and 18:00 - 04:00 (days and nights)
Potential overtime of up to 72 hours per week
A superb opportunity has arisen for MIG Welders to join a team helping transform rail vehicles and deliver the comfort and style today’s passenger’s demand.
Your New OpportunityJoin a highly skilled engineering team of MIG welders responsible for the preparation, fabrication and welding of large steel structures used on passenger trains
- Carry out welding on inside structures, underframes and elevated working areas
- Help to fabricate and prepare surfaces ready for welding
- Must be able to work from engineering drawings and instruction.
You’ll bring experience of MIG welding, or mechanical assembly or coach building or a manufacturing environment.
- A background in welding and fabrication in either MIG, TIG, Stick, MMA or Fluxcore
- Experience of welding on between 2mm and 6mm mild steel
- You will be able to weld different angles such as vertical and overhead
- Have a strong attention to detail
- Able to work on your own and as part of a team.
- Confidence working rotating shifts, including days and nights,
- Minimum 1 years’ experience
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to pass a medical, drug & alcohol screening
