Offering £19 per hour and a Monday-to-Friday working week, this is an opportunity to join an established repair business with a strong focus on quality, teamwork and professional development.
You’ll be working alongside experienced Panel Beaters and Paint Sprayers in a professional environment, using your mechanical, electrical and trim skills to help restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition. As a MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician or Vehicle MET Technician, you'll be responsible for removing, repairing and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components to support the accident repair process.
Your responsibilities will include:- Stripping and refitting mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles.
- Removing and replacing damaged components in preparation for panel repairs.
- Rebuilding vehicles to their pre-accident condition, ensuring all components are correctly fitted.
- Carrying out mechanical and electrical fault-finding where required.
- Working alongside Panel Beaters and Paint Sprayers to ensure efficient repair processes.
- Following manufacturer repair methods and procedures.
- Using appropriate tools and equipment to complete repairs safely and accurately.
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure vehicles meet the required standards.
- Maintaining accurate records and following workshop procedures.
- Keeping your working area clean, safe and organised.
To be considered for this MET Technician position, you'll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a MET Technician, Strip & Fit Technician or Vehicle Technician.
- Strong mechanical, electrical and trim knowledge.
- Experience stripping and refitting vehicle components.
- A good understanding of accident repair processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines.
- A commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards.
- Hybrid and Electric Vehicle experience would be advantageous.
