Looking for a Monday to Friday electrician role?

Are you a qualified Electrician with experience in facilities maintenance, building services or industrial environments?

We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our Technical Services team at Catalent, one of our key client sites in Swindon.

This is an opportunity to put your electrical expertise to work in a busy pharmaceutical and manufacturing environment, where maintaining safe, reliable and efficient site operations really matters.

You'll be part of a small, established team of electricians, taking responsibility for planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across the site. Working alongside a wider engineering and facilities team, you'll have the opportunity to use your technical knowledge, solve problems and make a real contribution to the day-to-day running of the operation.

If you enjoy practical, hands-on engineering work and are looking for a consistent weekday working pattern, we'd like to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

No two days need to be the same. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out planned and preventative electrical maintenance to keep site systems and equipment operating safely and efficiently.
  • Responding to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing faults and completing electrical repairs.
  • Undertaking electrical inspections, testing and fault-finding.
  • Maintaining electrical systems, plant and associated building services.
  • Supporting wider mechanical and building maintenance activities when required.
  • Working with external contractors and specialist engineers to ensure maintenance work is completed safely and effectively.
  • Identifying potential issues before they become bigger problems and helping to minimise operational disruption.
  • Keeping accurate maintenance records and ensuring all work meets relevant safety standards and site procedures.

What we're looking for

You'll be a qualified Electrician who takes pride in delivering quality work, has a practical approach to problem-solving and can work confidently both independently and as part of a team.

You'll ideally bring:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation or an equivalent recognised qualification.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Inspection and Testing qualification (2391, 2395 or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in electrical maintenance, facilities management, industrial or commercial environments.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • A good understanding of electrical safety, compliance and safe systems of work.
  • A professional approach, good communication skills and the ability to manage your workload.

Additional qualifications such as PAT Testing, ECS Gold Card or IPAF would be advantageous.

What's in it for you?

We know that finding the right job is about more than just the hourly rate. At Sodexo, we want you to have the opportunity to develop, feel valued and build a career.

Alongside your salary, you'll benefit from:

  • Monday to Friday working, giving you a consistent weekday routine.
  • 37.5 contracted hours per week.
  • Access to Sodexo's employee benefits and discount schemes.
  • 24-hour virtual GP service.
  • Employee Assistance Programme, including wellbeing, financial and legal support.
  • Learning and development opportunities to support your career progression.
  • Bike to Work Scheme.
  • A range of enhanced Sodexo benefits and leave policies.
