Fort Garry Industries is seeking mechanics and shop labourers of all levels to enhance our Thunder Bay service shop. This role is suited for journeyperson technicians, apprentices, and heavy-duty mechanics eager to thrive in the transportation industry. Candidates will engage in mechanical services, diagnostics, and repair for trucks and trailers, supported by an excellent work environment and career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers
• Perform mechanical and electrical inspections
• Handle components like hydraulics and suspensions
• Conduct safety and CVIP inspections
• Ensure accurate documentation of services
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalency preferred
• Familiarity with workshop tools and equipment
• Physical capability to lift 50 pounds
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
