Excelcare at Lewes is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to play an essential role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents. In this position, you will help ensure that residents receive fresh, clean linens and personal garments each day while supporting the overall cleanliness and comfort of our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in providing behind-the-scenes support that makes a meaningful difference in the daily lives of our residents.

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, and process resident clothing, linens, and facility laundry in accordance with infection control guidelines
• Safely operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment in an efficient manner
• Fold, organize, and deliver clean linens and garments to designated resident and facility areas
• Monitor laundry stock and notify the appropriate team when supplies need to be replenished
• Keep the laundry department clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Handle soiled linens and personal items with care while following proper sanitation procedures
• Assist with labeling, sorting, and organizing resident clothing to ensure accurate distribution
• Work closely with nursing and housekeeping staff to support timely and efficient laundry service

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in laundry services, housekeeping, or a healthcare setting is preferred but not required
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well with others
• Commitment to following safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures
• Dependable, punctual, and consistent in attendance and performance
