Overview
We are currently hiring a Sensory Production Co-op in Milton, DE for the Co-op cycle of July 2026-December 2026. The co-op with the Milton Production Sensory team will support daily production and sensory projects at the Milton Brewery location. Daily support includes taste panels (set up, execution, and clean-up) and sensory training. Sensory projects include building and expanding the training program, daily release panels, and special projects.
Focus is on sensory for beer and other mixed blend products as requested. The brewery environment is fast paced; the co-op should have good time management skills and a strong work ethic and will have opportunities to engage with the brewery team through camaraderie and events.
- Protect the sensory profile of high-quality products and ensure profile consistency
- Help to ensure day-to-day quality by monitoring the sensory characteristics of the brand s processing stages; maintain records for quality tracking
- Assist in managing and maintaining all aspects of the sensory panel
- Assist in training of new panelists and panel assessment techniques, as required
- Prepare, conduct, and monitor all types of sensory panels (daily panels, tetrads, DFC, etc.); gather samples, prep panels, schedule and execute panels, and collect and report data
- Maintain lab organization (cleaning up before and after each panel and maintaining inventory of sensory supplies); create and organize shipments for approvals or across brewery locations
- Learn and understand how sensory assists in quality assurance in an active production brewing environment

- Potential to work in a complex environment requiring high situational awareness
- Occasional travel may be required and is at the discretion of your manager based on position needs
Education
Required
- Must be a student currently enrolled at a accredited University
- Must be able to commit to a 6-month Co-op
Desired
- Pursuing a degree in Brewing, Psychology, Food Science, Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering
Experience
- Previous sensory and lab experience preferred
Skills
- Knowledge of brewery operations preferred
- Ability to learn quickly, prioritize, and make knowledgeable, quick decisions in a fast-paced environment

Level: 10IC
In accordance with pay transparency laws, the pay rate for this role if hired is $ per hour. The starting pay within this range depends on related experience, skillset, and location.
