Position: Warehouse Operator (Milton Brewery - FT Temp)

Job Description

We are currently hiring a full‑time seasonal Warehouse Operator in Milton, DE for the 1st shift (8 am–4:15 pm Monday–Friday). The Warehouse Operator will assist with daily warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, put‑away, inventory, keg line, pallet and keg repair to ensure orders are selected and loaded for customer delivery within the company’s designated time frame.

Responsibilities
  • Use all personal protective equipment (PPE) such as bump caps, safety shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection in conjunction with GMP regulations.
  • Safely and accurately operate equipment, including stretch‑wrap machines and forklifts.
  • Maintain warehouse and assigned areas in compliance with company safety standards by sweeping, removing garbage, pallets, and debris and placing them in the proper locations.
  • Accurately utilize the SAP Warehouse Management System.
  • Communicate with coworkers face‑to‑face, via Brewery phones, and radio; carry radio as required.
  • Navigate a complex, densely populated environment with production equipment and forklifts, requiring high situational awareness.
  • Work overtime as needed, which may require 12‑hour days, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands
  • Pass a pre‑employment physical exam required for the role; some roles may also require use of a respirator and fit test.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs, sometimes repeatedly, and handle materials and equipment with precision.
  • Stand or walk for long periods (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal, or grated surfaces.
  • Perform tasks that may involve crouching, stepping over, crawling under, bending, twisting, climbing, and reaching above head and shoulders.
  • Climb flights of stairs, work from heights, or on elevated platforms as needed.
  • Wear assigned PPE (safety shoes, gloves, facemask, hearing protection, and hard hat).
  • Maintain full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination.
  • Occasionally work from elevated areas such as ladders or platforms.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent exposure to loud and constant noise and non‑environmentally conditioned spaces, potentially leading to extreme hot or cold temperatures.
  • Dense production environment with equipment and forklifts, demanding high situational awareness.
  • Work overtime as needed, which may require 12‑hour days, weekends, and holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with team peers and customers.
  • Available for shift, weekend, and holiday schedules as required.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with computer systems and able to learn SAP Warehouse Management System.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Successful in a collaborative team environment.
  • Highly effective multi‑tasker with a “get‑it‑done” attitude.
  • Ready to work assigned shifts.
  • Safely and efficiently operate a forklift.

Level: 9

In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay rate for this role if hired is $18.35‑$22.55 per hour. The starting rate depends on experience, skillset, and location.
