LSF is seeking a talented Quality Assurance Specialist

Purpose and Impact:

The Quality Assurance Specialist provides support to the CMO staff & leadership team through monitoring of cases, collecting and analyzing data for child welfare case management performance and outcomes.

Essential Functions:
  • Maintains effective mechanisms to promote timely problem identification and resolution to assure quality services are delivered in an effective and efficient manner
  • Assure compliance regarding current federal, state, and local laws, contracts, accreditation standards, and policies and procedures
  • Creates and produces performance and other data reports for senior leadership outlining outcomes for child welfare case management.
  • Conducts performance analysis and provides insight as to performance trends, barriers, and areas for improvement.
  • Apply critical thinking to create strategies and interventions resulting in measurable increased performance metrics.
  • Provide effective support and technical assistance to Case Management teams to meet performance and strategic objectives
  • As requested, respond to the data and project management needs of the Executive Program Director, Quality Management Specialist, Program Director and Assistant Program Directors.
  • Miscellaneous tracking of critical operational, contractual, and statutory compliance such as Psychotropic Medication, Human Trafficking, and youth aging out of care.
  • Develop and oversee manual and automated tracking systems associated with operational and contract requirements in collaboration with other data management and technology services.
  • Review case records & provide technical assistance and support for the preparation and results of external monitorings (ie., CBC, Department of Children and Families, etc.), as required.
  • Participate in monthly case monitoring activities as prescribed by CBC.
Other Functions:
  • Participate in training and development activities as required
  • Must be willing to travel to other counties to participate in QA-related meetings, if needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer, reviewing records, and preparing reports.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through written and electronic correspondence.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to read paper and electronic records, analyze data, and prepare reports and presentations.
  • Ability to move throughout an office environment and attend meetings or trainings at various locations, as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, and lift or carry materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to travel locally and, on occasion, statewide to conduct quality reviews, audits, monitoring activities, or attend meetings and training, if required by the position.
  • Primarily performed in a climate-controlled office environment with regular use of computers and other standard office equipment.
  • May involve work at provider agencies, community locations, or other business sites during quality monitoring, audits, or meetings.
  • Frequent exposure to computer screens requiring extended periods of concentration.
  • Work may require managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Position may require occasional local and statewide travel, depending on program and business needs. Valid driver’s license and insurance coverage required.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Degree in the areas of psychology, social work, or related human service field preferred.
