Job DutiesJoin our dynamic team and make a real impact! This position involves managing inmates through a collaborative case management approach, ensuring their needs are met with effective communication and resources.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct periodic and unscheduled assessments to track inmate progress, set positive adjustment goals, and motivate inmates to achieve them. Develop comprehensive inmate management plans and identify needs and risks.
- Plan and coordinate targeted referrals for treatment, programs, work, and services to meet inmate and departmental needs. Collaborate with various areas for optimal outcomes.
- Evaluate diverse information sources, such as reports, interviews, and observations, to make informed decisions on inmate management.
- Maintain accurate and detailed inmate records in the Offender Based Information System (OBIS) and other necessary applications.
- Lead disciplinary hearings, make custody and reclassification recommendations, and handle special status inmate reviews. Ensure eligible inmates receive appropriate gain time awards.

The selected candidate must meet four (4) of the following six (6) qualifications or have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience in case management that uses assessments, planning, coordination, and evaluation to meet individuals’ needs.
- Experience reviewing, auditing, analyzing, and/or proofreading data.
- Experience applying laws, applicable rules, and procedures.
- Experience or training in the use of the Offender Based Information System (OBIS) and/or related computer programs or applications.
- Experience with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint.
- Experience responding to grievances, inmate requests, or other correspondence.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Four years’ experience in caseload management.
- Four years’ experience analyzing data and/or interpreting rules/statutes.
